This morning while trying to open the snap, the leather strap separated from the snap button. The snap is extremely too hard to open and close while putting the holster on. When I originally tried it on and was able to change the leather strap to better fit my bras, it was really comfortable with my firearm in place. My only issue is the snap closure.
Hey April!
I'm so sorry you had any trouble with your snap. We'd be more than happy to send you a replacement. I want to make sure you know that the snap is a directional/safety snap and can only be opened from the tab end of the strap. If you pull on the long end, the snap will never open because of the little tooth inside it. You also have to close it by first hooking the tooth and then rolling the snap closed. This keeps the holster from coming loose accidentally as you draw, but it can be a bit of a pill to learn! Please feel free to reach out via customer service if you have any questions about it...I can't link videos here, but we definitely have some that will help explain :)
Over all my other holsters, I’ve been using the Marilyn the most often. Comfortable and smooth draw once I found that sweet spot. Like my Flashbang holster, I’ve found the Marilyn Holster works best for me with a well-fitted, push up bra & a panty liner stuck on the backside. Great little holster!
I've waited a long time using this holster so I could give it a fair trial. I wanted to love it, but unfortunately, it hasn't been everything I hoped. I used it for about a year for my EDC, but I had trouble putting on the holster every single morning. I never got good at it. Also, the handle of my gun kept tucking itself in my bra making it hard to draw (I could angle it slightly out, but the printing was really bad), and the holster loosened itself very often and constantly needed adjustment. Sometimes when I bent over, the holster would get too loose, and shift and somehow pinch my skin on the side of my breast between the holster and gun. It's a bit painful and embarrassing. To be fair to this product, I can't seem to find a holster that works for me, so that might not be this product's fault. For all my complaining, to-date, it's the best one I've been able to find. As I side note, I don't love that the holding strap is leather. I sweat on it every day, so after a year, it's hard and curved instead of soft and pliable, I'd prefer something that I could wash or something that could stand up to moisture.
Most gun dudes that criticize shoulder carry (which is basically what this is) consider this position a slower draw. For the woman who routinely stores chapstick, keys, shopping lists, etc in the chest pockets, having a firearmup there is an EASY quick draw with a little dry fire practice. Way better than off body carry, and hardly prints at all. I have been in love with my Flashbang for years, and recently purchased my new Marilyn. I wish I'd done it sooner. I love introducing my students to these bra carry styles. So much more convenient for the things we traditionally deal with. And for a bigger girl, like me, any IWB or OWB option is only as sturdy as my muffin top allows. Breasts don't discriminate! Get a sturdy bra, find the videos that talk about fit and positioning, and practice til it feels GREAT!
When I purchased the regular bra holster I thought about concealing with a dress as well. This side holster just made more sense to me, so I purchased both! And I love them equally! The Marilyn is super easy to draw from & surprisingly comfortable. Only thing is the snap does rub against my skin, but some moleskin tape should fix that! And just a warning...make sure to keep holster far away from your skin when inserting your firearm. Haha! OUCH!! My mistake! Super happy with the holster! Also!...red strap did bleed a little onto my bra. I might just go with natural straps in the future. ;)
I first bought this when I was pregnant because any other conceal carry just didn't work with a growing belly, and I absolutely fell in love! I still use this holster even though I'm not pregnant anymore. My only qualm is that the paint on the button wears off and makes me break out where it sits (I'm allergic to certain metals), but I just apply a layer of clear nail polish on it from time to time and that works for me.
I am very impressed with this company’s responsiveness. Via E mail I requested an item to be added to my order; it was. I will review again when I receive my order.
Thank you Wendy! We try our best
Great way to conceal your weapon very comfortably!
I have all of the different styles of the Flash Bang holsters and love all of them!! Not to mention customer service is above and beyond all expectations!! I highly recommend this product and this company!!!
It is comfortable and, due to my years of shoving my phone into my bra, super easy to access quickly. I recommend it for any woman who already shoves things in her bra like a make-shift purse. You'll love it.
I can't feel it's there. Easy to put on. Quiet when you draw. Fantastic draw!
Well designed and well made. Just received the holster, we will give it some time, and come back to give an update.
Its not shimmery or shiny like the picture at all.
I'm sorry you're disappointed, Justin. Since we're working with plastic, it's just the variations in the colors that give a shimmery effect, and not any acutal 'metallic' portions. We do our best to represent it accurately, but sometimes that can change based on lighting and the output from your computer screen. We want you to love your holster, and we're happy to help you with making an exchange for a different color if you'd like that. Please reach out to our customer service team and we'll get you fixed up.
I love my holster. My only suggestion would be to make the straps quick change. I would like to be able to quicky change the length of the straps based upon what I am wearing without having to use a screwdriver.
Oooooh! This is a great idea! Thank you for suggesting it....we'll be doing some research :-)
These holsters are very well designed and work just as they are designed to. This order is made to fit under the arm. It has a small lip to hold over the top of the side elastic of the bra. Great idea! Thank you!
This offers great concealment for us dress gals. It does irritate my boob some; think I’ll use one of those useless bra inserts as a cushion.
Hey Kenya! Thank you for the feedback on the Marilyn. The bra insert is a great idea! I'll be sure to pass that along in the future if someone is dealing with any comfort issues ☺️
more comfortable than in the front of the bra. Practice drawing your weapon before you go out!
Super comfortable and hidden. It’s perfect for crop tops. Customer service helped fast when I needed help !
Thank you so much Kasey!! I'm glad you love your holster...you'r right -it's perfect for summer carry!

Hey Tony! I'd love to hear about any issues your customer had with the Marilyn. We've been working on getting more information out about how it fits. Were there any videos or reference material that she found helpful? Thank you for the review! We appreciate you taking the time to write one.
